Backlight didn't function whenever you opened the lid of the Macbook for more than 10 cm.

Just a lot of screws, not difficult, but quite a lot of work.
Mi Consejo
Have a good look at the orientation of the cable, corner is a little different as the original cable. Don't forget to replace the tape you removed while disassembling.
