Mi Problema
Over recent months the iMac had started doing odd things. Strange screen effects, freezing, not always booting first go. It finally died altogether. A quick look at iFixit and it was apparent the power supply had failed. Parts ordered and wait. Arrived yesterday afternoon.
Mi Solución
I followed the instructions on iFixit. No drama whatsoever. Power up and "boingggg" iMac is back to life. Screen seems brighter too.
Mi Consejo
I didn't have the recommended long stemmed Torx driver on hand for the 8 display screws. I was able to bend the sides of the white plastic case out far enough to enable the use of the iFixit Torx driver.
