PS3 Would not turn on, I googled the symptoms and I found this website with the guide on how to fix the YLOD. I ordered the parts and got working on the problem.

I followed the guide on this website: Luz amarilla de la muerte (LADM) (YLOD)
My first attempt I didnt have the YLOD symptoms anymore, but I had a system that still wouldnt turn on and gave 3 beeps and then a flashing red light. The second attempt, after cleaning the newly applyed thermal compound off the heatsink and motherboard and reflowing again, then taking my time to apply the thermal compound as thin as possible, finally succeeded.
Mi Consejo
If you follow the guide on this website you will fix your PS3 YLOD. Take your time and dont rush adding the thermal compound. Adding a thick layer of thermal compound wont work. It needs to be a very thin layer. Take your time apply a very small amount to the chip, you can always add more later if you applyed too little.
