Mi Problema
My wife and I each have a MacBook Pro, and she spilled something on the keyboard and the the whole top row of alpha keys stopped working. I did the tests outlined by a site on the Apple site and determined that the problem was hardware, not software. Then, the big surprise - The repair was to replace the whole top of the computer which meant everything had to be transferred to a new case.

I have had a lot of computers apart and build my own towers, but the mac is the most compact, best use of space I have ever taken apart. I am not sure I would have tried it if it hadn't been for your site. It is the most clear and complete set of instructions I have come across in my repairs. I also never had a spudger before, and it really came in handy. It took about 4 hours to complete, but it was my first time and I was really careful with the delicate connections and small screws. The ability to make the photos larger came in handy a couple of times. I also took the time to put blue LocTite on all the screws when I put it back together.

The instruction on removing the microphone when removing the motherboard was not clear enough. I raised up the motherboard, and pulled the connector from the motherboard, but I think it would have been better to pop the button out of the case. I could have damaged the connection the way I did it. Also, It took a while to figure out what came apart on the display cable. Mine had a padded piece glued to the top which was not shown. I thought that the the tab and was concerned when it came off. I think it was an insulator to the case. I used a lighted magnifying glass to study the connection and determined that I hadn't hurt anything and the tab was a normal connection tab. There is always a fear that you could ruina perfectly good computer component by removing the wire clips wrong. I don't know if you advise the LocTite, but I saw it had been applied in the manufacturer.
