novice willing to take a challenge

Mi Problema

I got the flashing folder with a question mark on a grey screen coming up. Upon researching the net as to possible problems I discovered ifixit and decided to give it a go.

Mi Solución

Thanks to ifix it the process and procedure was really smooth. The step by step photos and video gave this novice the confidence that "I could do it".

Mi Consejo

Two things to keep in mind when doing this "operation". It is handy to have a vacuum cleaner near by. My Mac was 5 or more years old and had accumulated an amazing amount of dust in the works. For other novices like me you may find the process fairly straightforward the next step of formatting the disk can be a challenge though. Read the instructions carefully!!
