Mi Problema
The back light of the screen went on and off depending of the position of the screen.
Mi Solución
I followed the instructions of the guide to determine if it really was the inverter cable and to check which inverter cable it was. I then twisted the cable a little and mounted everything again and now the screen went still on and off but in different positions. So I was pretty sure that your guide and a new inverter cable would fix the problem. I ordered the cable on the 24-th of December and it arrived at the 27-th of December .... in Belgium Europe. The same day I installed the cable and the problem ....... was fixed :D As our Apple Store told us that they could not repair it anymore ( vintage ) we already had bought a new mac book pro. I only found out later that I could fix the problem for +/-50$ (transport included). So now we had a 2-nd mac book :). We gave it away for free to a working student ( friend of my daughter ) who needed a new laptop but didn't have the money for it. She is super happy now !! She got it the 27-th of December a late christmas gift :D
Mi Consejo
A second pair of hands is helpful for holding the keyboard and screen while performing the instructions step 12 and step 35 , especially during the mounting.
