I have a Mac Mini (Mid-2011) that already had two 500GB spin media that desperately needed the upgrade to SSDs.

With the Spudger and 26-bit Driver kit + the Installing Mac Mini Mid 2011 Dual Hard Drive Kit Guide (Instalación del Kit de Disco Duro Dual del Mac mini Mid 2011) everything worked like a charm.
The detail guide instructions were excellent. The tools are high quality and top notch - definitely worth the value to get these tools. It took a couple hours but now my Mac Mini purrs with high random IOPs.
Mi Consejo
You can use the tweezers included in the 26 Bit Driver kit to remove the tape between the SATA connector and the HDD. By doing so gently, you can easily re-use it when you put the SSD and SATA connector together.
