Mi Problema
Hdd not showing up in device manager after user plugged laptop power pack in. 18.5V instead of the proper 12v pack
Mi Solución
Open up the external hdd that is using torx screws using my new ifixit tool kit and check for damage to circuit board.
Hdd Circuit Baord Dead. Typical BURNT electronic smell upon closer inspection.
Mi Consejo
Always use the proper power pack for a device it usually says what the correct one is so you do not have this happen to you.
A bit unfotunate for the client.
