My superdrive died and needed to be replaced. I thought that while the Mac was open I might as well update the hard drive as well.

Have not done it yet. Most likely it will be done in a month or so. Just doing advance preparations.

Advise on where to find safe and reliable antistatic mates and work surfaces large enough for an iMac.
