Rattling fan... then grinding fan.

Mi Problema

I've been dealing with a rattling fan for a while now... like a light chatter even at rest. Then last week as I was working the computer pretty good it started grinding. Time to replace.

Mi Solución

Very easy. Took about 5 minutes. The hardest part is getting the fan connector connected to the board.. with my fat fingers anyway. Maybe some rubber tipped tweezers might help. But the video guide was perfect and I was done in minutes.

Mi Consejo

One suggestion. The fan is pressure fit to a grill/filter of sorts. I had a good collection of dust there after taking out the bad fan. Take some masking tape and press it against that grill. You'll grab all the dust easily.
