Mi Problema

I love movies and gaming, but I also like having a fast startup and system. Since I had lucked into a 512GB (!) Samsung Drive, I replaced my failing 500GB Seagate with the 512GB SSD, and began booting the system off of it, but I decided that I wanted more, so I bought a 1TB Toshiba HDD and the optical bay sata system from ifixit.

Mi SoluciĆ³n

A couple months ago, I needed to have some repairs done relating to my airport card. Because Applecare covered it, I took it to a shop. When I opened it to replace the drive, I found the Airport Card screws had been stripped clean. After failing to budge the Screws, I decided to take it to apple and explained what happened. They got them out (but didn't get me new ones, very annoying) and I finished the repair myself.

Mi Consejo

1.5TB in a laptop! With instant booting from the SDD and plenty of space for the expansion of my movie collection, I'm pretty pleased. Although, ifixit should create some sort of an enclosure for the Optical Drive so that I don't have to go and buy a new one. Also, don't forget to screw in the new drive so it doesn't flop around in there.
