Mi Problema

I had to replace my right fan in my MacBook Pro 15". The fan noise was the sound of bull dozer. I couldn't hear my speakers it was so loud. It eventually sounded like a dying computer generated animal. Finally, I bought the fan from iFixit, installed the puppy (super easy) and voila. NO MORE FAN NOISE - EVER! My Mac purrs like a kitten and I can hear my speakers without earbuds. I even thought it wasn't working, the fan was so quiet. But alas, my CPU is staying cool...Thank you iFixit!

Mi Consejo

Just make sure you get the CORRECT part. Start with finding the model number of your Mac by looking on back at the bottom where the hinge connects the LCD to the Keyboard. There is small text (copyright stuff). There should be a model number. When you find it, do a search on iFixit for that model number. You will get a list of all of the parts you can purchase for that exact model - you can't go wrong this way. Also, watch the videos for instructions - they are a tremendous help. Watch them a few times if necessary. This repair would have cost me $90 at Apple, I paid for the fan $55. So worth it!
