The Freshmen Fifteen Days of Not Having a Computer

The first night of being away from home at college.I was setting up my new MacBook onto my desk when all of a sudden, my metal dry erase board falls off of the wall and crashes into my beloved laptop. It was the saddest thing seeing my most prized possession get assaulted by this erase board. I scrambled around trying to see if Apple would cover this freak accident, sadly they don't repair these type of problems and it would cost $765 to get the screen fixed and replaced. Now remember, I'm a new college student who barely has enough money to buy textbooks. I went to the tech support service desk where they suggested going to different websites and researching their prices. My first stop was Amazon, I found a screen for $119 plus shipping, I thought to myself perfect I can get it fixed before any major classes. I found out the hard way that some people can change the way things are advertised because once the I.T guys tried reinstalling my new screen onto my laptop, we found out that it wasn't for a MacBook, but a Dell laptop. Now I am completely discouraged and uneasy about going back into research mode. Luckily my researching came to a complete stop when I found this beautiful website. Before purchasing my part I did some research on the guide and product reviews. I was highly impressed with the knowledge of the help guys and I decided to take the plunge and purchase the part.

It took the tech guys around a day to fix my laptop, but everything went swimmingly considering the fact that I am using my macbook right now to type up this happy ending.

First and foremost, don't put blunt objects near your macbook and use adhesive tape squares to keep a billboard calendar on your wall. Another thing don't go on Amazon to get Macbook parts!!!!
