charging problems, liquid damage

Mi Problema

My computer was damaged from a spill (liquid damage), it worked with quirks for a while then eventually stopped charging, didn't recognize the power adapter, then died. Apple care don't give a F about liquid damage, so I investigated and found solution on this website. I however required BOTH a new dc-in connector and a new battery.

Mi Solución

I did make a mistake which led me to re-purchase the part and re-install. If I would have read the comments CAREFULLY I wouldn't have made this error, which could be explained better in the tutorial.

The cord from the dc-in connector needs to be run behind the post which exists on the border of the logic board and the edge of the computer (which is around where the microphone goes). I failed to run it behind the post and it was cut up by the screw which holds the back on the computer. I should have known known by the resistance felt while screwing in that specific screw.

After I've gotten life back in my computer, I do still have a problem in that this macbook is not recognizing the power and is not charging. The battery is neither charging or loosing charge.
