Fixing a 2 year old display problem in 3 days!

My 1 year old son had smashed my MacBook Pro screen and it was damaged for more then a year. I inquired at the local Apple Store and was shocked to know that the LED display would cost me around 1000$, it was so expensive that I thought I would never be able to repair it, until ifixit stepped in my life like an angel :)..they not only had the same display at 3 times less the Apple Price, but also had instruction guides to fix it yourself!! In about 3 days from ordering it online, I received the display screen and I fixed it the same day. ifixit is the next level of technical repair solution to all the gadgets you never thought would be self fixable!!

It did look like rocket science in the beginning, but the detailed step by step instruction guide, with blown up images, helped me fix it within hours. Although not every laptop would look the same as in the pictures, which I strongly think should be worked on, yet a bit of logic and understanding is definitely required from your side during the process. Its quite easy, with all the required details you would need.

Mi Consejo

I would strongly suggest that every model should have a reference image, connected with the instruction manual, as not all of them look alike, once you dig into them. Secondly, yet not that important, you might want to use a more simple language, keeping your varied customers in mind, as not all of them have the same level of linguistic skills. Over all...YOU GUYS ROCK!!!
