The button on my iPhone4 wasn't working and I had to implement the accessibility home button option just to navigate through the phone.

Repair went swimmingly with the iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit, Replacement button (white), and iFixit iPhone4 Home button Repair Guide.
Mi Consejo
When rethreading the digitizer and LCD cables while reattaching the screen make sure they are pulled through completely so the connecters will attach to the correct spots on the logic board...
I also put in a white button on my black phone.. looks great and is a reminder to me that i was the one who fixed it.
