Mi Problema
Forums hinted it could be a dying battery, but no commitment this was the problem. I went for the new battery kit and hoped this phone would last until the 5 comes out.
Mi Solución
The battery replacement was stressful, but was not as bad I thought it would be. I got it back together and it booted right back up. A full charge has allowed me to play games again and use the map ap with the phone operational all day.

I wish I had known the battery was dying sooner, I would have swapped the battery a long time ago. The fear of doing it myself was foolish. The directions were easy to follow, just be slow and meticulous and it will all go back together and work. Looks like this should last for a while and I won't have to rush to buy the new 5 when it first comes out this fall.
