macbook pro 13, HDD cable problem

my macbook pro 13" hdd stop working, so i thought i need to replace the hard disk, so i ordered hardisk but macbook did not detected the new hdd also. and then i doubted the hdd cable after reading on ifixit, i ordered the new cable and after replacing that it started working.

repair was easy and very quick

One thing i noted that with the older damaged cable the led light on front was not working, it may be a sign that cable is damaged. with new cable led is also working
