The original Western Digital 320GB hard drive from my 2007 iMac had crashed, and I needed a replacement drive pronto!

I studied several videos and repair guide online while I waited for the drive to arrive. So, last night, I was all prepared with the proper tools and know-how. I'd say the entire process took less than an hour.

Contrary to some of the instructions, I didn't have to disconnect the iSight camera cable; I just tilted the bezel back while I worked on the computer. Likewise, I never disconnected the main LCD cable; instead, I had a friend hold up the panel while I worked underneath.
