Mi Problema

It was a visual nuisance, as well as the glass chipping off into little chunks :(

Mi Solucion

Great! I still needed to look up a few detailled videos online to get a better idea of what to do after the main link of the display screen as there are some crucial steps that were not covered.

It took about 1n hour and a half with the heating (you can use a blow dryer).

If this is your first time, just remember that any resistance you get pulling off the boards and other components is usually a glue/sticky substance that can be heated and removed in a second.

The broken screen cracked a lot more during the first stages of removal, just make sure you get out all of the glass before you do anything further (or at least before you put the replacement screen in) or it will not fit/crack.

They've provided new tape/glue with the screen, so you can remove the old stuff as well, just to make sure it doesn't fall out again by accident.

Mi Consejo

Check out other youtube videos, there is one in particular that goes through the process after the screen has been replaced, so make sure you do additional research. The guide provided here is useful to get a general idea however.

Keep track of your screws and where they go! They're not all the same size.
