MBP 15" (Mid 2009) Battery Replacement without a pentalobe screwdriver

Mi Problema

after nearly 900 cycles (coconutbattery) Accu asks for service. Besides the MBP starts to having problems with low Accu, sometimes it was unable to write the memory content down to SSD

Mi Solución

Repair was smooth. Instead of buying a pentalube screwdriver (which you'll never need again) I loosened these screews with an engineers pliers as displayed in the picture. After replacing the Batterie I slotted the screw heads as in the second pic

Mi Consejo

Next time you deliver in this part of the world pls. put an invoice outside the package. Customs was unable to detemine the value of the package so I had to pick the whole thing up at the customs office
