Mi Problema

Yes I too decided my phone could do with a swim. Did you know they don't like it? So why do we persist on the swimming lessons? My repair job, thanks to the readily available equipment and easy to understand, blow by blow descriptions from ifixit, was a VERY SIMPLE job. The battery was a bit stubborn, but if you keep at it, it will loosen. Unfortunately my iphones swimming lessons must've been more than just a quick dip, as it still wont power up. I believe its on its way to iheaven! But many thanks to the ifixit team and their wonderful help and advice. I hope I won't be back, but at least I know there is somewhere to go for good sound advice and clear, easy instructions that don't cost an arm and a leg!!!! Thanks ifixit

Mi SoluciĆ³n

The process was SIMPLE! My iphone already had phillips screws. It took about 60 secs to get back off, 10+ mins to get a stubborn battery out. 2 or 3 mins to get new battery in, then reassemble iphone. Done!

Mi Consejo

Don't take your iphone, ipod, ipad or whatever anywhere near water-THEY DONT LIKE IT!!!!!! I now empty my pockets (and anything else) of ALL technology before I enter my bathroom, laundry etc And don't leave your fav bit of tech near liquids like your cup of coffee!
