Took a Chance and gave a SECOND CHANCE to my MACBOOK!

Mi Problema

My Macbook was on it's last legs! Besides the fact I was running OSX 10.4.11, my little 80 GB Drive ( remember when those were actually big?!?!) was wearing thin and 2 GB of ram were just choking with the Photoshop and Indesign files I was running through it (I'm a comic book artist) I had to do something. I couldn't afford a new comp right now, and just needed to get another year out of my computer

Mi Solución

EASY PEEZY! After installing 2GB of ram and Superduping my drive I installed the new Drive, and then went about upgrading the OS and also installing a Battery ( which was given to me, but if not owuld have procured form Ifixit too) it's running AMAZING now. It's no monster, mind you, but I have my laptop back to abuse... I mean use for another year! And at 750 gb I have enough room to have everything on there no running around with extra drives!

Whatever it is, DO IT! I think many people find fixing their comps to be tedious and exacerbating but it helps you get an understanding of the tools your using. Plus THERE NOTHING TO BE SCARED OF, just go about the tutorials on here little by little and you'll see you'd get lots of what you need done and huge weight will be taken off you. YOU"LL GROW AS A PERSON. I'm excited now and have even fathomed taking a friend old laptop (PC) and trying to fix that, just for the fun and learning experience.
