Mi Problema

When I got my laptop 120gigs was unheard of. It could take anything. But over the years I've had to use the assistance of external hard-drives once my itunes collection got to big. It was always more clutter, and I could only sync my ipod once I set everything up.

Now I have plenty of space and I don't know how that could ever fill up. Plus there is less clutter on my desk.

Mi SoluciĆ³n

The instructions were very helpful.

I used super-duper, which is really easy to use. It took about 3 hours to transfer 100GB. I was on the computer for the first 20 minutes which led to a slow transfer rate.

After the transfer I did a test boot from the external and once that was good, I cracked open the laptop.

The instructions are straight forward with very informative pictures.

Mi Consejo

If you are on the fence about doing this, DO IT!!!!

I used Dixie cups to manage my screws during the switch steps.

While the computer was still open my brother told me I could use a modeling paintbrush (about a size 3) to clean out the dust that had collected in the cracks.

When reassembling the computer don't tighten the outside side screws to much while it is upside down. Get the screws in place, then once the back is secure, open up the screen and lightly squeeze the cover panel bottom while tightening the side screw.

This flushes the two edges.
