Mi Problema

The fan started making noises (terrible screeching noises) a while back. Once I researched the issue, I took the computer apart, cleaned out any dust especially around the fans and fan exhaust ports and finally removed the fan itself to oil it. The first fix was with WD-40...that lasted a few months, but eventually the noise came back...then I tried again with lithium grease...it did fix the screeching, but it was not noise free...kept making other strange sounds...so I finally decided it HAD to be replaced. I scoured the web and found iFixit....found a NEW fan and ordered it...

Mi SoluciĆ³n

So far the computer is running better, cooler and most importantly QUIETLY... Very happy with iFixit...and will use them for the right fan when that one finally goes :-)

Mi Consejo

I've had to take my laptop apart 4-5 times now due to trying to fix the fan myself...not worth it...buy a new part and just be done with it!
