my fan stopped working, and the computer is 6 years old so i decided to replace the thermal paste under the heat sink as well. So I decided to replace the fan and thermal paste.

I wish the guide had mentioned peeling back the black felt tape when you pull the fan out. I ripped it before I realized i needed to scrape it off the old fan.
