it went well, except for the sleep/power button.

I cut a piece of business card out and put it in between the sleep button, and the sleep button connected to the ribbon cable, so it would push the outer button out further. The illustrated guide was amazing. iFixit is an amazing resource and I will continue to shop here for my DIY needs.
