Mi Problema

I bought this because I had a suite of applications that I liked using but could only use them if I had an apple device and when I bought my macbook it was a clearance item but that is where the fun starts. I bought it and fired it up and noticed that it would work when it wanted to (had the black bars that came on randomly on the screen) and this is after purchasing it. I sent the retailer I brought it from an email for any advice of what I should do since it should be under a 90 day warranty and I had a suspicion the logic board was bad so I had it go through their apple authorized technician who wanted to charge me $600 to replace the logic board for a machine I had for less than a few days and didn't pay that much for to begin with. Since I have repaired many laptops in the past I could have taken care of the issue (and ended up doing so) but wanted the warranty to take care of it. As soon as I was notified of what it was going to cost me to fix the macbook, I bought the board for it and when I went through the machine, I ended having to tighten the screws for the display since they had failed to do so. I also took the time to go through the machine and fix any other issues that they could have created working on my macbook.

Mi SoluciĆ³n

I now have had the macbook for about a year and haven't had any issues with the logic board.

Mi Consejo

One thing to be careful of is the display cable that connects to the logic board can be damaged fairly easily. The mag safe connector may not cause the light to come on, there is a way to get it to work but got lucky with how I got mine to work.
