Difficult

Mi Problema

Friend knocked his watch off of a kitchen island onto tile floor face down, glass was shattered.

Mi Solución

For my first repair, I’d say it Went well, the Glass was cracked so badly In a way that the lcd panel was kind of just hanging with the connection cables, when I used the curved razor blade I pulled the force touch gasket out, not realizing that all the glass had separated from the lcd entirely. I didn’t damage the force touch gasket surprisingly but decided to use the replacement I bought anyways.

Mi Consejo

The Y000 screw on the force touch gasket is a pain in the butt to get back in, I had to use a magnetizer to better magnetize the bit, make sure you have a steady hand and be patient, also the lcd connector cowling is another one of those difficult pieces to put back on. I’m left handed so it was hard to follow along with the same angles in the guides, I had to figure out what was most comfortable for me and applicable. I used a spudger on the unclipping of the 2 Lcd connectors and battery as I felt the large plastic prying tool was too large and invasive for such a small area and was easier to work with. Patience is necessary with this repair, be confident and stay calm especially if it’s your first watch repair.
