Mi Problema

Do you know the spidey sense you get right before your hard drive begins to fail? I was beginning to experience some really long loading times and it was starting to ack quirky. Yeah. At this point you have a couple of options: 1.) use it until it dies 2.) buy a new computer or 3.) fix it. Since I don't have an extra couple of grand laying around I decided to take my fate into my own hands and fix the problem myself!

Mi SoluciĆ³n

The repair when fantastic! I was really impressed with the quality of the kit I ordered and how well the repair was documented. I'm not going to lie, I was sweating bullets but I'm filling out this survey with a new SSD installed! My confidence is through the roof and I'm feeling great about spending ~$325 versus spending ~$2500 on a new Mac.

Mi Consejo

I ordered the kit and looked through it when I first received it, then I let a week go by before I was ready to go for it. I've had repairs go south in the past, so I made sure that I fully understood all of the steps and read the comments from other people so I knew what I was in for. One little bit of advice I can give is to not skip the step where it recommends using 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean up the tacky adhesive that was left over from removing the screen. My mac literally looks and runs like new!
