Mi Problema

My 2012 Macbook was feeling sluggish, Lightroom, boot, backups, it all took very long. I tried upgrading to High Sierra, and my OS got borked, I had to restore from backup. The hard drive span loudly, and often. I heard good things about SSDs, so why not?

Mi Solución

The repair was quite easy. I booted into the repair mode, copied my old drive to the new one (which took 8 hours). Swapping the drive was a breeze. My Mac is as fast (or faster) as my wife's 2015 Air. Can't believe that I am happy with a 5yo laptop.

If you are thinking about it, just do it. It is a good thing.
