My wife's Iphone5 was losing battery power. When she approached her carrier about replacing the battery, the technician found the phone had been exposed to water and refused to proceed. Ifixit provided an inexpensive solution worth trying.
Mi Solución
The Ifixit tools and video provided a reasonable advantage to battery replacement. However, I found that I needed to be more thorough in my reading, checking the tools, checking the phone, and re-viewing the video before proceeding. The repair went well although I am sure my time exceeded 1 hour. Biggest problems were my eyes not able to clearly focus on the small screws and my hands that no longer are as pliable as they once were.

View the video several times before choosing to order the repair/replacement kit and attempt to affect repair. If you have no patience, stop now.
