Nexus 7 2nd Generation LCD Screen Assembly Replacement

Mi Problema

Cracked screen with only half touch sensitive. As you may see in the picture, the broken screen (left) has a number or cracks starting from the top left of the display)

Mi SoluciĆ³n

Repairing this device went mostly well (I didn't know how to open the ZIF connectors but that was solved quick). The replacement front display assembly I bought from amazon (IFixit was out of stock) was a bit.. shady. This one from Amazon had the frame and such, but it has no extra insulation and no orange ribbon. When everything was almost done, I only had the battery left to screw in. But, for some reason, who ever made this put larger screw holes than what came on the original (Have not found any 4 mm #0 screws yet...), but the battery seems to hold itself in good enough from just the housing for the battery in the frame of the device.

Mi Consejo

When reinstalling all the parts into the display assembly (Either if you bought it with the frame and such pre-done to the LCD and Digitizer or of you did that extra step) make sure to check the connection of the display ribbon on both sides.
