Mi Problema
My phone was no longer charging. Some of the pins inside the old charging port had broken off.
Mi Solución
I did resort to a couple of other videos on youtube that I found very helpful, but overall the repair went fairly well. No meltdowns, minor frustration, major satisfaction when all was said and done.
Mi Consejo
The iFixit guide says to remove the logic board which is completely unnecessary. It also neglects to mention a few of the other parts that need to be saved from the old lightning connector assembly. Again, watching a couple other videos was immensely helpful here. My only other trick was to put a piece of double sided tape on a sheet of paper. This help all the tiny parts in place and was easy to label.
