IFIXIT Made Me Look Like A Hero

Mi Problema

My son dropped his iPad on the garage floor. It landed on the corner, shattering the entire display into a million cracks.

Mi Solución

The repair went really well. The only issue that I had was getting the old shattered display off. The suction cup would not hold due to all of the cracks and tape (holding the glass together) on the glass. I had to spend a lot of time picking at the shards around the edge where the glass is glued to the body.

The IFIXIT repair kit was perfect in every way. The replacement parts, tools and instructions that I purchased from them made me look like a hero.

Mi Consejo

Take your time. There are very delicate connectors and ribbon cables.

Also, try your hardest not to touch the LCD. You can clean off the fingerprints but the rubbing will leave a slightly discolored area. In certain lighting conditions, this may be visible under the front panel glass.
