Mi Problema
I had one of the original PS3 that still played PS2 games. So I was kinda sad when I got the yellow light of death. I called up Sony to find out that they wanted $150 to fix it. The closest and cheapest I could find was $119. I ended up buying the $40 kit form ifixit .
Mi Solución
It took about 3 hours to fix. Wish there was a backward step by step guide in putting it back together, but over all very simple and anyone can do it with patience.
Mi Consejo
Be very careful when taking it apart. I accidently broke one of the clips holding down Blu drive ribbon, but was able to fix it. Be sure to keep all screws organized! I used zip lock bags and labeled them all. It really helped when putting the PS3 back together.
