Groaning dying cow gets healed

I wouldn't call any Apple product a cow (I love me some Mac). But, my laptop was making a horrible noise and vibrating due to a failing fan.

After researching online and getting some confidence to perform laptop surgery, I fixed it -- with a new fan I found on iFixit.com. My laptop is about four years old, so the fan was more than twice the price, but that's life. The replacement fan arrived quickly.

Mi Consejo

Do it sooner, rather than later! I was nervous about opening up the laptop myself. I spent a couple extra weeks hearing the horrible noise and vibrations... Now, it is silent and I am humming.
