iPhone was not charging
Mi Solución
This the first time I ever opened a cell phone. I replaced the connector the charger worked, but the phone kept searching for the WiFi. I realized that I probably should have taken off the blue protectors before I put the new connector and maybe this was why the WiFi did not work. The directions did not mention any thing about those protectors. I took it apart again and foolishly when I pried the battery connector off with a metal screw driver there was a spark. I took off the blue protectors, reassembled it and it was totally dead. I must have shorted something out. My bad.

Always use a plastic spurger.
Please edit the directions to tell newbies to remove the thin protector things prior to reassembly
