battery and trackpad replacement

Mi Problema

The battery was old and giving replacement messages. the trackpad would only click if you hit it in the middle bottom part. Clicking on the left bottom part was hit and miss.

Mi Solución

The repair went OK. I had some trouble getting some of the case screws out. especially one of the long ones in the upper corer of the bottom case. I had to press very hard while turning. Even so, I think I mushed the philips head a little. I agree with others that the screws for the track pad may be 000, not 00 philips. they were difficult to remove with the 00, seemed easier with the 000. I still have to go back in and adjust the alignment of the track pad. i did not see it was misaligned until I put it all back together.

Mi Consejo

I think that it would be good for someone with experience to check and see which type of philips head goes to the trackpad and specify that in the instructions. I am grateful though for the instructions. i would not have had a chance without them.
