While surfing the internet one day I found the iFIXIT website and watched a video on the battery replacement for an iPhone. The procedure looked simple enough, so I purchased a new battery and new back cover, as mine was cracked. My order was delivered within a few days, and in just 10 minutes or less, I'd changed the battery and back glass, and had the phone all buttoned-up and on my charger.

I always thought that replacing the battery in an iPhone required taking it to an authorized dealer and paying about $100 for the service. But, for only $25, I did it myself in minutes.
