Mi Problema

I have a 5th gen iPod, the video variety- It had been experiencing battery issues, it was white and I really wanted a black one, etc etc - A friend turned me onto this site, I ordered the battery and a cover and my first repair went very smoothly. Parts arrived very very quickly, I think three days with standard shipping. Anywho, about four days after completing that repair, this same friend dropped a hammer on my iPod and destroyed the screen. I knew where to turn for cheap, fast replacement parts.

Mi Solución

The repair went ultra smoothly thanks largely in part to the excellent how-to's on ifixit. The other aspect of it going very smoothly goes to the use of the iPod specific tools which I got from ifixit.

Mi Consejo

Don't drop a hammer on your iPod, but if you do, don't fret - ifixit.com will have it back to operational in a jiff.
