Screen Repair for 5th Gen Ipod Video

I always have my 5th gen iPod Video on me at all times. I've had it since 2005 and it's still going strong. I need music at all time if at all possible. I have iPod adapters in both my vehicles, etc. So the other day, in a rush I put my iPod in my back pocket of my jeans, and JUMPED into my truck. I didn't think anything of it figuring the seats are soft enough to give way. Not this time, I later looked at my screen and saw the LCD display was crushed. It still functioned in my car since I control it through the aftermarket radios, but couldn't use it at the gym...DOH!!

I knew there had to be a place that sold a new screen, I had replaced my battery in my iPod video twice already. So I searched Google, and found ifixit. ifixit was not the first place I found though, but it was the first site that I trusted, because of it's layout, the product description and product support info. And the price was great, some other sellers are a ripoff. The new screen arrived very fast and very well packaged. Upon inspection The screen was mint. I read the repair instructions once on ifixit (they were that good, that I didn't need to go over them multiple times). And in 20 minutes I had my iPod Video up and running

Mi Consejo

I used to have a case on my Ipod, but they are all bulky and cumbersome. If you are going to use your ipod alot without a case, put it in your FRONT POCKET!!!!
