Mi Problema

I had two iPod videos, 5th gen., 30g. I gave my dad an iPod mini years ago. It no longer held a charge, so I decided to give him one of my iPod videos. I gave him one with a new battery and decided to replace the batter in the other (it didn't hold a charge for long).

Mi SoluciĆ³n

A couple of hiccups. I ended up popping off the front cover. The parts where the cover attaches broke in the process. I also had a hard time connecting the battery cable on the new battery (The steps online didn't include that part.) In the end, I got it together, and it works. The front cover is on there pretty well, although there is a small gap.

Mi Consejo

When replacing the battery, pry the whole back piece off the iPod. Also, after detaching the battery cable, push the little connector back in when you want to connect the battery cable.
