The tools in the kit provided to open the case should be made a little more durable. After several attempts to open the case, and wearing out the plastic tools edge which rendered it unusable. I resorted to using a jewelers screwdriver to get it open and scratched the face in the process. The rest of the battery replacement was straight forward per the instructions.

Mi Consejo

On Gen III Ipods, reconnecting the power connection for the hard drive is tricky. It takes several attempts to line it up. Also before you close the case up, make sure that the pad at the base doesn't interfere with the interface connection..
