The phone was shutting off even when it indicated the battery had 70-80% life left.
The repair went fairly well and the phone seems to work perfectly now. It was really hard to get the battery out, even using the hair dryer to heat up the case. I bent the spudger pretty good prying it out. One of the connectors got caught under the battery when we replace it causing me to have to remove the battery to get it out. Lastly, there was one connector, #3 I think, that was supposed to have a flip up lock. I could never get it to flip up, actually cracked it slightly trying to get it to flip up, and eventually I just pulled out the cable like the video showed. The video shows just pulling that cable out, not flipping anything and unfortunately, doesnt show reassembly. I could have used some help with the reassembly of that one connector.
Unhooking connector #3 isnt shown in the overview video and putting it back is very difficult. I couldnt get the little clip on mine to flip up so I had to just gently pull it free and then on reassembly, I had to crimp the cable slightly to give it an edge that I could push on with the spudger to push it back into the connector.
