Successful battery replacement!

Mi Problema

The battery had developed bad cells and wouldn't hold a charge for more than a minute or so. The iPad mini was otherwise intact so it made sense to try and replace the battery.

Mi Solución

There was a time after removing the LCD that the instructions weren't super clear about separating the LCD from some tape (but that could just be my special brain) but it otherwise went without a hitch.

Take your time, don't get frustrated, and don't force things and you'll do fine =]
