Brand new iMac,never even turned it on and the first thing I do is tear into it. Never been inside a Mac, built dozens of PC's, talk about a lot of speciality connectors and hardware. The online instructions are some of the best I've seen, especially the detailed pictures and the ability to enlarge. I took pictures as I progressed through the process as an insurance policy. When it came time to hook up the Airport antenna, the wires were opposite from the online photos! I used my picture instead and it worked fine, what a relief. Overall it was a nice install, the shipped kit worked perfectly and now I have a turbocharged iMac.
Mi Consejo
Take your time, layout the hardware in an orderly fashion and make diagrams for the reinstall. I placed the screws on the diagrams to insure they went in the right location. Cleaning the screen is difficult, make sure you have compressed air, it really helps.
