Mi Problema

My hard drive was not being recognized and I thought my hard drive had gone bad. So I had replaced it with an external drive for a while till I figured out the problem. The hard drive cable had gone bad and I was being led wrong by the "professionals" I had consulted and spent to much money getting a new hard drive when I didn't need it.

Mi SoluciĆ³n

The replacement did not take long and was very painless. The hardest part was sticking the wire down below the hard drive and keeping it there. However, the lesson here is check your hard drive before buying a replacement so you know if it is the hard drive or not. This apparently was a common problem with 2012 macbook pros hard drive cables going bad, but no one wanted to tell me.

Mi Consejo

Please make sure that when people are checking for a new hard drive it just isn't their hard drive cable. Sure, I love my new hard drive and it is an upgrade, but I wish I had spent less money on my repair.
