make sure you know the problem before odering a part.

Mi Problema

My laptop's plug was not working properly. After visual inspection, it seemed the power port was the issue. Ordered the part, replaced it, and realized it was the power cable end that was the issue. Resolved ; the replacement part, although replaced for nothing, works as good as factory.

Mi Solución

Not very well- I had to butcher some screws to take the computer apart. Even used a power drill to drill out some stripped screws. It came back together with a little less issues, and is completely functional. As for the power cable end, I ended up taking that apart (comes in three pieces - magnet, plastic shield and cable with a fitting). Putting it back together by pressing it firmly together fixed the issue for good.

Don't try this at home unless you don't mind a bit of esthetic damage.
