Mi Problema

105 degree heat (In Minne-freaking-sota!), her car got towed and she had to walk 3 miles home. When when she got there, her laptop wouldn't see the hard drive. Talk about a bad day. The next morning, we found out the laptop worked, the drive worked in another computer, but they didn't work together. The drive cable was a shot in the dark (I tested it with another laptop's), but it fixed it!

Mi SoluciĆ³n

The repair manual was flawless, it took about 30 minutes or so to take everything out and put them (since I moved her hard drive to a loaner laptop, there were two laptops involved) back together.

Mi Consejo

Find a dead hard drive and open it up. Inside you'll find a powerful magnet. Take that out and use it to store the tiny weiny leettle Apple screws. Basically, I set out two or three of these hard drive magnets (one for each area of the laptop) and drop the screws in their vicinity. The magnet snatches them up and holds them tightly.
